Stock Picks Update | TOL XHB CROX

Today was some fun trading in HANS, AAPL, and a few others I’ll mention at the end of this post, that still look good. Homebuilder stocks stopped at areas of support, and popped higher this morning for me. I sold the trades I held overnight in TOL and XHB. They both look fine, but I’m fighting a downtrend. There’s no sense being too aggressive until all the setups are in place. I’ll buy the higher high now on the daily chart, or look to short a break of the 50 dma.

Here’s a great example of using a 200 ma (in blue) on intraday charts, as support and resistance areas. I sold both XHB and TOL, when TOL touched it’s 5-minute 200 moving average this morning. I chose not to get back in because of that moving average. I’d like it to become support now. Main focus is back on the daily chart though.

I took an online stock trade in Crocs Inc. after illustrating the potential for a move on the CROX daily chart yesterday. I bought above the 4th small candlestick with a stop below the low of the day. I was in scalpers mode today, and should have let this play out, but took a quick profit. The daily chart has open air above now, and will be on my stock pick list for remount tomorrow.

A few others I traded today that closed decent include AMAG, BIDU, and NTRI. You’ll recognize the familiar trading patterns of all 3.
