GS XAU SA MDG GSI and the STV IPO
Filed under: Online Stock Trading - 04 Oct 2007
Today’s online trading adventure began by shorting the stock of Goldman Sachs – GS. The stock’s first pivot low was under the 5-minute low. Three candlesticks higher found the stock stalling at a lower high pivot. Time to short. Stop at the day’s high. 1/3 was covered around 227, the second 1/3 at the 200 ma (in blue), and the reversal bar triggered the final cover.

XAU was holding it’s trendline. I bought some SA – Seabridge Gold Inc., and MDG – Meridian Gold. Those were held overnight.

Today’s crack play was GSI – General Steel Holdings. I hesitated on the stock, even though I had it flagged near 11. Watch for action in the STV – China Digital Tv Holding IPO tomorrow.
